This website is used solely to provide information about the book “The Boomer Gets It”. It has no user accounts, forms, comments, newsletter, ordering function, cookies, tracking or analytics services. No external fonts, maps, videos, social media plugins or other third-party content are loaded automatically. Personal data are processed only to the technically necessary extent described below.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted on a server operated by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany (“Strato”). When the website is accessed, the server automatically processes information sent by your browser. This may include:
- the IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- the page or file requested
- the amount of data transferred and access status
- browser and operating system used
- the previously visited page, if supplied by the browser
Processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interests are the technical provision, stability and security of the website and the prevention of attacks. According to Strato, IP addresses are retained for no more than seven days for attack detection and prevention. Downloadable log files contain anonymised IP addresses. We do not combine the data with other sources or use them to create personal usage profiles.
A data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR is in place with Strato.
4. Cookies, local storage and JavaScript
This website does not use cookies and stores no information in your browser’s localStorage or sessionStorage. JavaScript is used solely for the mobile navigation, changing the displayed sample joke, showing the current year and subtle presentation effects. No personal data are stored or transmitted to the website operator or third parties. The essential content remains accessible without JavaScript.
5. External links to Amazon
The website contains clearly marked links to the book’s product page on Amazon.de. Merely visiting this website does not establish a connection to Amazon. Only after you click such a link do you leave this website and your browser connects directly to Amazon. From that point onward, Amazon processes data under its own responsibility and in accordance with its own privacy information.
The links use technical attributes designed to secure opening in a new window and, as far as the browser permits, to prevent transmission of the address of the previously visited page.

If you contact us by email or telephone, the information you provide is processed solely for the purpose of handling your enquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR or Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry concerns the initiation or performance of a contractual relationship. The data are deleted once they are no longer required for handling the enquiry, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
